Workshops Include:


Advanced Piano/Amy Slaback:
For advanced pianist w/at least 3+ yrs experience.  Topics include: carrying lead vs playing in the pocket, advanced scales & exercises, selecting proper registers, free-flowing/playing during ministry time, and advanced piano theory.

Beginner Piano/ Sara Greer/Ben McClish:

For beginner to intermediate pianists/keyboardist. Topics include: basic chord formation, beginning theory, keyboard sounds, playing piano/keyboarding in band setting, and simple rhythm patterns.

Basic Vocal/Melonie Caudle
:
For all levels of vocalists.  Topics to include: vocal warmups/exercises,  eliminating vocal tensions areas, proper breath support, expanding your range, and setting up a daily work-out routine.

Bass /Patrick Hill:
For all bass players. Topics include: the blues scale/licks, major key licks, the alternative to slapping (plucking), dynamics, letting your face dicatate how awesome your playing is, and other tricks of the trade.

Beginning Acoustic Guitar/Larry Slaback:
For beginners.  Topics to include: basic strumming and chord formation, begin to play simple worship songs.

Advanced  Acoustic/Electric Guitar/Brad Fountain/Curtis Benson:
For intermediate players w/at least 1 year exp.  Topics to include:  playing in the pocket, chord shapes, scales, rhythm patterns, neck positions, sound selections and theory.

Drums/Jeremy Marrone:
For all levels of drummers.  Topics to include: Basic understanding of playing in an ensemble - blending/ setting the tempo/ what it means to accompany, theory - time signature, tuning - how to get the best sound from your drums, basic technique and rudiments, learning to play with touch, & what makes playing percussion in worship different than a concert?

During Worship Lab:
Vocal Harmony/Tara Marrone

For all levels of vocalists.  Topics to include:  understanding basic harmony, learning to sing harmony, singing harmony in worship and blending

Mediashout/Powerpoint - Mark Williams:
Here you will learn how to operate and set up Mediashout/Powerpoint in the Main Auditorium as well as Children, Youth, Life Challenge and Singles.

Lighting - Stephen Warnock/Mario Olvera:
Learn how to run and set up lights in the Main Auditorium. If you are interested in running the lighting show on Sunday's or Wednesdays come to this break out session and learn how to program and run lights for a live event.
