Pastor Chuck Warnock - Senior Pastor

Chuck Warnock serves as senior pastor of New Covenant Church in Longview, TX.  Prior to that, he was a youth pastor, directed an inner city street mission, and planted churches.  In his tenure as Senior Pastor, Chuck has led a national television ministry, launched an unreached people group in mainland China, conducted international crusades and pastors conferences, and served on boards of international ministries.  In addition to his duties as pastor, he helps lead a national college ministry known as Campus Harvest, which reaches college students and college campuses across the nation.

What is your passion regarding the Kingdom of God, the Church, our Church, your ministry? 

"I want to see as many people as possible see the power, majesty, and beauty of God’s Kingdom (government) expressed in the local church as possible."

What is your life verse and why?
"If I had to pick one, it might be Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  This is the literal verse attached to my given name and is prophetic, as God has always challenged me in this area."

What was your salvation experience?
"As a freshman college student pursuing the American dream, I was witnessed to by a friend, and as a result of the Holy Spirit’s dealing with my heart, later attended the on campus meeting he had invited me to.  There I felt God’s presence and heard Him challenge me to give my life to Him that night, which I did."

Why did you get into ministry?
"Later that same year, God continually began dealing with me that I was to pursue full time ministry."

When did you join NCC staff? 
"I came here in 1988 as senior pastor."

Who is in your immediate family?

"My wife Diana, my two sons, Stephen and Matthew, and my daughter Rachel, who is in heaven awaiting the rest of us."

Where is your favorite place to pray?

"My house, especially when there are few people there, as I like to walk around a lot."
