Pastor Paul Klewer - Adult Education, Singles Pastor

What is your passion regarding the Kingdom of God, the Church, our Church, your ministry?

"Any or all of these can be answered. My passion is that the Kingdom of God would be literally done on earth as it is in heaven.  Earth is an inferior world compared to heaven’s world and what happens there is intended to happen here.  I want to live in such a way that God can trust me as His man to bring about heaven’s order on earth."

What is your life verse and why?
"Jeremiah 33:3 - As I cry out to God I want Him to show me great and mighty things, things that I do not know, things that are fenced in and hidden, things that I presently do not comprehend."

What was your salvation experience?
"God invaded my life on the road between Palestine and Rusk, Texas in 1983 at age 48.  The Holy Spirit began to give me revelation so fast that I couldn’t write it down or record it.  This continued for a year until I was planted in this church in 1984."

Why did you get into ministry?
"Educated at Abilene Christian High School and Abilene Christian University (Nee College) with a passion for God’s Word.  Ministry came as God slowly shut down my business affairs and then raised me up according to Psalm 75:6-7.  Two visions from God regarding this church confirmed it.  They both dealt with the role I would serve in this congregation.  Since they were specific to this congregation, I’m not sure that I would be valid elsewhere – nor do I wish to be."

When did you join NCC staff?
"I came into this church in the summer of 1984 while drilling a well for Travis Stanley.  I began to minister to Singles in 1994 and became a paid staff member in 1996."
